White Point Golf Club – May Presidents Newsletter
Dear Members,
Welcome back to another exciting golf season! We’re thrilled to see so many familiar faces returning and are especially pleased with the strong increase in new memberships this year. To our newest members—welcome to the White Point Golf Club community! If you meet someone new on the course, please take a moment to say hello and thank them for joining us.
Facility Updates & Projects
The board remains focused on enhancing your golf experience. Recent and upcoming improvements include:
- New tractor purchased for course maintenance
- New shipping container for safe storage of chemicals and fertilizers
- Pro Shop upgrades including a chemical toilet and double sink for staff use
- Exterior painting of the Clubhouse—volunteers are welcome to assist!
- Irrigation system upgrades underway
- One new power cart arriving soon
- Sand-Pro mechanical trap rake (pre-owned) added to the fleet
- Gutters and fascia boards on the Clubhouse and Pro Shop to be replaced
- Overflow parking area cleaned and improved
- Maintenance shed decluttered for better safety and organization
- New entrance sign designed and being installed
- Tee box mower overhaul with refurbished reels
Tournaments & Events
We’re excited for another action-packed season of tournaments and weekly events:
- Australian & New Zealand Match Play has been reformatted to encourage broader participation
- Raddall Trophy (Men’s Club Opening) is scheduled for May 10—sign-up available at the Pro Shop
- Men’s Night returns soon—please check with the Pro Shop for details
- Ladies Night will also be starting soon. It’s a great opportunity to connect with other members in a relaxed, social format—watch for updates in the Pro Shop and online
- Liverpool Invitational is fast approaching. A fourth division has been added this year to better manage power cart demand and increase scheduling flexibility. This signature event brings golfers from across the province and showcases our course at its best. Many thanks in advance to all volunteers and sponsors for their support.
Digital Transformation
We’ve launched a completely new and revamped website, giving members and guests easier access to course information, news, event details, and more.
- Other recent digital improvements include:
- Live course webcam now featured on the website
- Online tee time booking available for members and guests
- Enhanced marketing through our Golf Management System tools
- Consistent messaging across our Facebook page and digital channels
Course & Pro Shop News
- The course continues to improve in both appearance and playability thanks to the energy and efforts of our grounds crew.
- In the Pro Shop, new apparel is now available and early sales are strong. Thank you to our shop staff for maintaining a welcoming environment for all members and guests.
Looking Ahead
The many improvements across the course, clubhouse, and digital platforms are designed to create a more enjoyable, efficient, and connected experience for everyone. These changes not only support the long-term sustainability of the club but also reflect our commitment to providing the best possible environment for members, guests, and staff alike.

Course Update – Open for Walking and Carts
We’re pleased to let you know that White Point Golf Club is open today for both walking and cart traffic!
While the course is playable, we want to remind everyone that recent rainfall has left some areas saturated and softer than usual. To help protect the turf and maintain playing conditions throughout the season, we ask that all players:
- Use extra caution when driving carts, especially near greens, tees, and low-lying areas.
- Avoid visibly wet, soft, or muddy spots whenever possible.
- Follow all posted signage and any instructions from the Pro Shop team regarding cart usage.
Your cooperation will help us keep the course in the best shape possible for everyone to enjoy.

Course Update – Open for Play (Walking Only)
We’re happy to share that White Point Golf Club is open for play today! However, due to recent heavy rainfall, the course remains fairly saturated.
To protect the turf and ensure the best playing conditions for the season, power carts are not permitted on the course at this time. Play is walking only until further notice.
Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ll continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as they improve!

Course Closure Notice – Due to Rainy Weather
Due to heavy rainfall and significant water accumulation, White Point Golf Club will be closed today.
Our top priority is protecting the course, especially the greens, to ensure the best possible playing conditions for the season. Playing on saturated turf can cause lasting damage that impacts future rounds.
We will reassess conditions tomorrow and provide an update. Thank you for your understanding and support as we work to maintain the quality of your course.
Introducing a Refreshed Website, Online Booking and Live Web Cam
Further to the President message this morning, we’re excited to roll out the next phase of White Point Golf Club’s Digital Transformation Journey—the launch of online tee-time booking through ChronoGolf.

We’re excited to introduce our new online booking system, designed to offer you more flexibility and convenience when reserving your tee-times.
✅ What’s New?
You can now book tee-times online anytime using the ChronoGolf platform. The system is initially wide open for your convenience— but please remember that any modifications or cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance online or you will need to contact the Pro Shop for changes.
📞 Prefer the Classic Way?
No worries! If you’re not tech-savvy or simply enjoy the personal touch, nothing changes for you. Feel free to keep booking your times by phone or by dropping in at the Pro Shop, just like always.

The Pro Shop team is happy to offer basic guidance on using the new system. However, we’re not equipped to troubleshoot technical issues on personal devices. For those challenges, we recommend checking the tutorials or seeking assistance from a tech-savvy friend or family member.
ChronoGolf also has great online documentation and Video Tutorials to help.

Opening Day – Welcome to the 2025 Season
We’re excited to announce that Opening Day at White Point Golf Club! We’re looking forward to a fun and successful season and want to extend a warm welcome to all returning members—and a special welcome to our new members joining us this year.
As we prepare to hit the fairways, here are a few important notes to keep in mind:
- Wet Areas on Course: Some sections of the course are still damp. Please follow the on-course signage and avoid these areas when using a power cart.
- Seeded Fairways: Fairways #8 and #9 have freshly seeded areas. Please avoid walking or driving carts through these sections. If your ball lands there, use the Ground Under Repair rule and drop nearby.
- New Footbridges: New bridges have been installed on holes #2, #3, and #5. These are for walkers only and are not to be used by power carts.
- Pro Shop Check-In: All players must check in at the Pro Shop before heading to the first tee so staff can enter your name into the system.
- Power Cart Parking: If you’re using a gas-powered personal cart, please do not park near the Pro Shop entrance. This area needs to remain clear for visibility and access. Use the far end of the Pro Shop or the opposite side of the Clubhouse.

White Point Golf Club Announces New Opening Date
Due to the recent stretch of inclement weather and the resulting poor course conditions, White Point Golf Club has made the decision to delay the start of the 2025 golf season. The new official opening date is now set for Monday, April 21st, 2025.
This decision was made after careful consultation with our Greens Director, and Course Superintendent, who advised that more time is needed to ensure the course is ready for play.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of all our members and guests as we work to open the course in the best possible condition.
In the meantime, our Pro Shop will open as scheduled on Friday, April 18th, 2025. We invite you to stop by and connect with Tom, who will be happy to assist with any questions and help get you set for the season ahead.
Additionally, a revised version of our 2025 Dues and Rates is now available. The updated 3-page document includes detailed pricing and registration options.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you back to the course soon!
White Point Golf – 2025 Rates Update
We’ve updated our 2025 rate sheet to reflect modest increases due to inflation and rising operating costs. From course maintenance to staffing and supplies, our expenses have gone up—but we’ve worked hard to keep rates competitive with other comparable courses in the region.
Our goal remains the same: to offer great golf at fair prices while delivering the quality experience you expect from White Point Golf.
